If you have been itching for some arcade racing madness, get your hands on Asphalt 8: Airborne. Find hidden shortcuts to take the lead over your opponents, and play online against other players. Updated with a new game engine, environments, cars and an intricate career mode, racing fans are sure to be pleased.
Gameloft has updated 80% of the cars from the original with fancier makes and models, which, of course, you will have to unlock. The designs of the vehicles in Asphalt 8: Airborne have been recreated in a more realistic manner than previously, so they now far more closely resemble the how they would appear in real life. Players can collect up to 47 cars and can also apply their own paint jobs to customize them.
Nine new exotic locations have been added that include: Barcelona, Venice, London, Monaco, French Guyana, the Nevada desert, the Alps and Iceland, allowing you to race all over the world. Asphalt 8: Airborne gameplay is the same easy pick-up-and-play arcade style you have seen in the previous games. The nitro boost is still available, and you can still drift for an eternity, as well as collect items that have been located on the road. This keeps the game in line with its predecessors.
The biggest change is the addition of springboards. Springboards let you take flight and perform some pretty awesome stunts. The updated physics engine is another bonus. If you love simple, fun arcade style racing games, you have to get this title.
