Microsoft OneNote, originally called Microsoft Office OneNote is used to gather information and can be used by many different collaborators at once. Microsoft OneNote is used to collect notes from a number of different users, these notes can be in a range of different forms, they can simple text that is typed or handwritten; illustrations and other images; or they can be audio files, such as dictations.
Microsoft OneNote is predominately a Windows based program, but it is also available for the Android and Symbian Operating Systems, along with the Windows mobile Operating Systems. Microsoft OneNote is widely used on mobile devices such as tablet computers and there is also a wed-based version of the software available.
The desktop PC version of Microsoft OneNote is a shareware program, which means that users can download it for free but can only use a limited number of the program’s features or capabilities; the mile version of Microsoft OneNote is freeware, which means it can be downloaded (in full) and used for free.
