Released in North America in March 2011, this instalment to the Pokemon game series featured a huge array of 156 new Pokemon that were more powerful than the Pokemon on the older versions, and were the primary paired versions of Generation V. In the game, two players travel to Unova which is inhabited by different Pokemon those that you might not be familiar with. This adds to some of the mystery and feeling of unknown exploration that fans of the original Pokemon TV series and games had felt when meeting unknown characters for the first time.
Unlike previous titles in the series, none of the Pokemon that were available prior to the start of Generation V can be obtained until the player has beaten Team Plasma, the theme for the main story. Along your journey, in addition to having to defeat Team Plasma, you will have to learn who the mysterious N is, as well as learn the secrets of the Legendary Pokemon.
New mini games exist allowing you to acquire Pokemon that will help your travels go a lot smoother. Pokemon Black and White had many of the features as presented in previous generations. One of the largest improvements was with the graphics, such as more interesting camera angles, a higher level of 3D graphics and better graphics for battle scenes. Pokemon Black and White also featured Entralink which had not previously been seen in the series. Entralink allows you and your friends to play the game together over local wireless networks.
Can you catch them all in Pokemon Black and White?
