Kerbal Space Program is a flight simulator game, you are tasked with building a rocket to send to the moon. The science is realistic and the game is challenging. The game is set on the planet Kerbin, where a race of aliens called Kerbals live, while the cuteness of these aliens may lead you think that this is an easy game don’t be fooled – it is a very complex simulator.
The game involves you building the rocket from parts found in a giant hangar. There are two modes; career and sandbox. Sandbox gives you more freedom and creativity when designing rockets. As the game is realistic in its used of physics, every rocket you build won’t work – you have to wait until launch before you know if it will be successful, if it isn’t you get to see a pretty spectacular explosion!
As you progress through career mode, you have several missions to complete on a strict budget (which adds to the difficulty of the game), you need to perform experiments in order to learn what will and what won’t work, train astronauts, etc. Kerbal Space Program requires hours of dedicated gameplay in order to successfully launch and land your rocket. While this may seem daunting, there is an active community of players who provide tips and hints in order to help other players, there is also an official wiki page to help you on your mission. So overall this a realistic game that, provided you have the time and dedication, is great to play!
